The 2025 Blue Ridge Championship
Goin' Rogue is excited to bring you the inaugural Blue Ridge Championship. Hosted in the heart of Virginia's Blue Ridge Mountains at Wood Ridge Farm Brewery
What is the Blue Ridge Championship, why are we doing it, and why is it different?
From the AD-
When Goin’ Rogue began running games in 2023, we wanted to prioritize the experience for the athletes. I'm an athlete, and I know the typical game experience. I don't want my athletes to have to show up, fill out forms, help set up equipment, and do everything else I should have finished as the AD.
The Mission:
-Give athletes the best place to come out and do what they have been training for: throwing far and high.
-Get more athletes into the sport and attract higher caliber athletes from other sports.
The Result:
Here at Goin’ Rogue, we believe that by elevating the experience for the athletes we are creating a better, and more entertaining product for the audience and the host venue. Better athletics means more eyes, more tickets, more venues, more people talking about Scottish culture.
A rising tide raises all ships.
I believe we have taken some great steps towards accomplishing this. Nonetheless, there is more work to be done. When we began running a game at Wood Ridge Farm Brewery, we knew we had found an amazing venue that wanted this to succeed as much as we do. Of course, nothing elevates this game to a championship level more than having it set in the beautiful scenery of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Goin’ Rogue will be inviting the top 2 amateur men and women from PA, MD, VA, NC, SC, TN, GA, as well as the top 2 placing amateurs from last year's Wood Ridge Farm Highland Games to compete for prizes and cold hard cash at these games on September 20, 2025. As of right now, there is over $960 on the line for total Championship payouts. Until then, we will continue working to provide bigger and better reasons for these athletes to bring their best.

Lodging
The farm and brewery are located minutes from Waynesboro which hosts several large hotel chains. Local rentals and motels can be found within 10 miles of the venue.
